Day 173 – 4/11/2019 on a Midlife Adventure.

Making my way from my airport hotel to Sydney’s Circular Quay

Bon Voyage Sydney

So today it is off on the first of my cruises to the South Pacific onboard the Radiance of the Seas.

I have travelled a number of times on this ship so being onboard has a very familiar feeling.

I was in an inside cabin for this cruise. Some people think it would be horrible being fully enclosed however other than to sleep I am not in the room that much.

The rooms are comfortable and have a couch, desk, bed and bathroom. As you can see from the above photo I don’t know how to travel light.

One stop I made in the morning was to a camera store to upgrade my digital camera. I have been very impressed with the Olympus TG-2 but have now upgraded to the Olympus TG-6.

Before too long it is time to head to our muster stations for the emergency drill. I arrived early so I could get a wall to lean against, having done this before I know its much more comfortable.

It is then time to head to get some drinks and watch sail away as we depart Sydney.

As we sail out of the heads you know that you are really on holidays.

That begins the first day of this cruise adventure on a Midlife Adventure.
