Day 185 – 17/11/2019 on a Midlife Adventure at Sea.
Finally the weather has improved!!!!

As the Dunedin harbour is very shallow we have to arrive at a very specific time to meet the tide which will allow us to not run a ground.

Docking at Port Charmers about 30 minutes from the heart of Dunedin we disembark and head towards busses that will take us into town.
The journey into town is very spectacular as you drive along the coast.

Dunedin has very Scottish routes and classic architecture.

Nearby to the town centre is the train station where lucky guests took the train to the Taieri Gorge. I have done that journey previously so with the inflated cruise ship price I decided to just enjoy a walk around town.

The Cadbury factory also used to run a tour, but as with most of the factory tours it has since been closed down.

You can still do a brewery tour however I never found the brewery.

Dunedin is built on a hill and actually has one of the steepest streets in the world. I have driven the steepest street previously however it is a short drive out of town.

New Zealand could own the seafood chowder war this one was pretty good and with the weather better but still cold it was greatly appreciated.

Getting the bus back to the Ship at Port Charmers I had a quick look around town.

Well before time I was back on board ready for a departure.

Plenty of people were already onboard enjoying the activities.
Tonight I went to the Two70 to watch Pixels.

The show is quite interesting with robotic screens and dancers appearing from unusual parts of the theatre.

Needing a bigger fix of robotics I headed to the Robotic Barman.
I video’d my drink being made.
This concludes another day here on the Ovation of the Seas as part of this Midlife Adventure.
