Just out of Townsville this park is pretty basic but has nice reverse in sites that have raised beds around that help guide you to your spot. 

The bathrooms are well maintained and clean and locked at night with a key provided. 

There is a lack of atmosphere at the park in my opinion, although they do have a Wednesday night get together but I was not there that night. 

It is located near the airport which does produce some noise but that settles around 9pm. 

Townsville is an easy 10 minute drive away with the Strand, Port area and Castle Hill lookout.
