Day 38 – 22/6/2019
Well its my last day staying at my friends place and being a weekend we went out for the day.
This started with the Lismore Vikings Village Solstice, celebrating the Winter solstice (and I’m glad of that!)
The battles were quite fun and the village very interesting to look at the art and craft on display.
With some time before the evenings plans it was off to Ballina, NSW the home of the big prawn and then to Lennox Head, NSW to see if we could spot any whales.

Then off to the Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum which has an excellent collection of model ships and other maritime memorabilia.

We then headed to the Lennox Head lookout, which has a lot of steps. It was a cold day so the walk helped keep us warm.

Then to the main event of the day the Lismore Lantern Parade. Where different community groups and schools walk along the main road with various lanterns they have made. It was a great evening and nice to be able to share in the community spirit of the region.

I am very lucky to be able to enjoy this Midlife Adventure and a big thanks to my friends for their hospitality.
