Day 3 – 19/5/2019

Oh no i’m in Gaol!!! Well visiting Her Majesties Wentworth Gaol.

The day started out still based at the Big 4 Mildura Getaway Holiday Park, following a good nights rest, my research told me there was a market in a nearby town Merbein Street Market.

This is a lovely small market held down the main street with a lot of bric-a-brac and some antiques to be found. They operate from roadside stalls and in some of the previously abandoned shops from the main street when the town was a lot busier than it is today.

Moving down the road to Wentworth, NSW making it 3 states in 3 days. I had a quick look around the town before visiting the Gaol.

It is a well maintained building and whilst visiting you get the idea that life would not have been very comfortable with over 8 people staying in a room the size of my caravan.


Completing my time in Gaol, I went off to see the junction of the Darling and Murray Rivers near Lock 10.
