Day 122 – 14/9/2019 on a Midlife Adventure.
Heading out of the Mataranka Homestead it was into the town of Mataranka, NT to see what was to discover.
The town is just a few shops and a pub.
There is a park with some statues that I didn’t go and have a look at but I was impressed by this tree.
Just out of town is the Bitter Springs where you can float down the river similar to the Rainbow Springs but longer.
It has amazing clarity in the water although some particles do float down the river here that doesn’t happen at Rainbow Springs.
I did 5 runs down the river some with my snorkel some without the best was the last run where it was very quiet and I just let the water drift me along.
These really are an oasis in the outback and a great way to spend some time and let the body soak in beautifully warm water.
So feeling relaxed on this Midlife Adventure as I head further north again tomorrow.
