Day 69 – 23/7/2019 on this Midlife Adventure

The trip up from Mackay, Qld to Airlie Beach, Qld was uneventful only a short run about 150km.

Packing up is pretty straight forward lower the lid and lock it in place, pack up the hoses, pull up the stabilisers, connect to the car and plug it all in. Double check you’ve done everything, get around the corner and recheck that you haven’t forgotten something, then driving to the destination.

Sometimes you find towns to stop in on the journey, most times I don’t and keep going.

The Seabreeze Tourist Park is my home for a few days and just up the road from Airlie Beach town centre.

Main Street, Airlie Beach

I have been to Airlie Beach a few times the most recent in November 2017 as part of a cruise.

Voyager of the Seas – November 2017

Today there were a lot less people in the area than our last visit that matched up with Schoolies.

Airlie Beach 2019

One of the unique things about the Airlie Beach foreshore is the large pool, whilst I walked around that one I didn’t go in.

Airlie Beach Seaside Pool

I did however go for a swim in the one at the caravan park and even though the weather up here is around 25deg and my car left out of the shade got up to 35deg the water in the pool is very cold!

A few weeks back I purchased a privacy screen for the caravan and this is the first time I’ve set it up. It is quite nice and extends the living area a little.

Dinner was a large T Bone Steak that was really nice. I did however overcook it. My bad will learn for next time.

That’s my day on the Midlife Adventure looking forward to another and another and another….
