Day 57 – 11/7/2019

It was an early morning as the camera that helps me see what’s behind the van has been acting up so off to the Auto Electrician and they were quick to diagnose and fix the issue. Thanks George’s Auto Electrics.

From there it was off to Maryborough, Qld where they hold a Thursday Market. The market was a good selection of fresh fruit/veg and arts/crafts. I am still well stocked from the weekend so there wasn’t anything that was added.

Maryborough is a nice town that has a rich history, and looking at the price of real estate in the region is well priced.

One of the special elements to this town it is the home town of a Ms Pamela Lyndon Travers, better recognised as P.L. Travers the author of Mary Poppins.

There is even a particular quirk to the crossing lights that stands out.

In case the symbols are confusing for you there are instructions provided.

Opened very recently at last weekends festival, The Story Bank, located in the building where PL Travers was born was opened allowing everyone to experience the story and build your own.

The building contains details of the early childhood and of the books she wrote.

So on a Midlife Adventure it’s a
Chim chiminey, chim chiminey, chim chim cher-ee
A sweep is as lucky as lucky can be
Chim chiminey, chim chiminey, chim chim cher-oo
