Day 77 – 31/7/2019 on a Midlife Adventure.
The Paronella Park, Qld is a great location, built by José Paronella over many years opening in 1935.
Built as a tourist attraction José Paronella but now quite different from how it started.

There are 5 main structures around the park that were once all fully operational.

The old theatre initially suffered a fire that destroyed the ballroom then a number of cyclones/floods have created additional damage.
Down the grand staircase you reach the river level.

Built all from concrete the park and was built as a botanic garden.

The day tour is very informative and provides a great history of the park.
You also get a chance to feed turtles/fish which is really fun and there are so many of them they are doing well even with the fact that a crocodile has been seen in the area.

The waterfall is really beautiful and peaceful to watch.
The park has some accommodation both cabin’s and caravan/motorhomes which meant that I could stay onsite for the evening.
So after spending some time relaxing it was time to head over to the nearby pub for dinner. To get to the pub there is a suspension bridge you can go over which takes you over the top of the waterfall.

The meal was good and it was back to the park to get ready for the night time tour.

They light up the park and currently the String Family perform which is amazing and sets the perfect mood for an evening in the garden. Unfortunately my video of the music didn’t work out.
There are so many great sights to see that it I have included them in the gallery below.
There have been a number of very special occasions on this trip so far and this was definitely one of them. I am very thankful for the opportunity to enjoy this Midlife Adventure.
