There are over 50 wineries across the Barossa Valley, many offering a Cellar Door Experience. Over the Easter weekend 2019 I had the chance to visit a few of them.

Starting the day at Hentley Farms where we left quickly on discovering a $10 tasting fee. We then headed to Seppeltsfield which is on a lovely sprawling estate. A great selection of varietals to be enjoyed but very busy.

Moving on to Two Hands Winery I did pay the tasting fee with 7 wines mainly reds. We followed this up with a visit to Barossa Valley Estate a more boutique winery on very well kept grounds an exclusively red selection and $5 tasting fee for 3 wines.

Enjoying a Scoopon voucher we headed to Hemera Estate. The platter was a great selection of meat and cheese with dips, bread and biscuits. The wine tasting selection extensive and the staff very friendly. Highly recommended!

Moving onto Keller Meister just around the corner we tried some fortified wines then onto the new Barossa Chocolate factory where we enjoyed a hot Choc.

The to the shops for dinner to wrap up our day before heading back to our accommodation at my Sisters property.

View from my sisters block… its very dry out there.

It’s a Midlife Adventure
