Day 268 – 8/2/2020 on a Midlife Adventure
It’s really only a short hop across from Coffin Bay to Port Lincoln so I don’t make it an early start and I’m still adjusting timezones from WA to SA with Daylight Savings.

Settling in at the caravan park it is quite interesting with the park built into the side of a hill. The sites are all cut into the hill and help for everyone to get a great view of the water.

Also not being school holidays any more there are more sites available which is nice.

Only a week ago the main area here was flooded after a big down pour but they cleaned it up quickly and everything is back to being normal.
The foreshore celebrates Makybe Diva a Melbourne Cup winning horse that came from these parts and the tuna fishermen that home port here.

The tuna fleets all parked up for the weekend, also the crayboats are in due to the crays being on hold due to low sales to China.

The other main export from here is grain

So a busy little town about 8hrs from Adelaide or a short 30 minute plane flight which is how I got here last time about 5 years ago.
Other than a little shopping that made my day in Port Lincoln where I’ll be based for a few days of exploring on this Midlife Adventure.
