Day 2 – 18th May 2019

Today saw me pack up from Waikerie, SA to venture further north east to Mildura.

Before departing Waikerie I took the opportunity to view the recently completed Silo art. (Check out my link to other Silo Art that I have visited).

Heading off towards Renmark I stopped for some fuel in Barmera.

The Paringa Bridge is a suspension bridge that lifts to let large vessels pass down the river. With a caravan on the back it feels very tight.

Those travelling into South Australia are stopped at the border to check for Fruit and Veg, those leaving the state are ok to travel on.

Continuing on I reached the border for my short stay in Victoria.

The distance is around 215km between the two locations and it was a great day for a drive. The caravan continued to operate perfectly behind the Prado and setup on arrival at the Big4 Mildura Gateway Holiday park was pretty easy.

A quick drive around town I found the lock and watched a lovely old paddle boat travel through.

The colours of Autumn continue to delight with the changing of season bringing out some great colours.
