Day 204 – 5/12/2019 on a Midlife Adventure.

Exmouth is the gateway to the Cape Range National Park which includes the Nigaloo Reef.

Spending a few days in town I settle in today with a short drive out to see the nearby ship wreck.

The Army base was used for long range communications to our Submarines

The town is on a peninsula with up to a 10 degree temperature difference from one side of the hills to the other.

Driving back into town I stopped by the Big Prawn. This one is smaller than the one on the East Coast so maybe the big shrimp?

The lookout provides a good overview of the bay.

This is also the location of the lighthouse, in the distance you can see the antenna’s that make up part of the Harold Holt Naval Communications centre.

As I’m still waiting for the fridge to cool down it was off to the nearby hotel for dinner tonight.

Another good day exploring the country on this Midlife Adventure.
